BORRADOR · pendiente de revisión legal. Cómo Sellor recopila, usa y protege la información personal.

Este texto está en inglés, que es la versión que se aplica.

1. Who we are

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It applies to the Sellor shop app on phone, tablet and web, and to Sellor's websites (sellor.app and accounts.sellor.app).

2. Who this policy covers

Shop ownersPeople who create a Sellor shop and log in with email and password, Google, Apple or a passkey.
Branch managersStaff who join one branch with an access code and the email the owner added for them.
Care team membersPeople the owner invites by email or phone number to answer the shop's chats.
CustomersPeople who order from a shop that uses Sellor, or chat with it.

3. Our role and the shop's role

For shop owner and manager accounts, and for the Sellor fee, Sellor decides how the information is used and is responsible for it.

Each shop decides how it serves its own customers. When a customer orders from a shop, the shop is responsible for that customer relationship, and Sellor processes the customer's information on the shop's behalf to show the order, print receipts, carry chats and email the customer updates about the order. Customers who have a question about how a particular shop uses their information should contact that shop first. They can also contact us.

4. Information we collect

AccountName, email address, profile photo, password (stored only as a secure hash), the way you log in, and, if you add them, a recovery phone number, passkeys and an authenticator app with its backup codes (stored in coded form). If you log in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
Identity verificationWhere it is required, shop owners give our verification provider photos of an ID document accepted in their country and, unless they choose a check by a person on the Sellor team, a short live selfie. The provider compares the selfie with the photo on the ID; this face comparison is biometric information, used only for this check, and we ask for your explicit consent before it starts. We receive the result, the name and date of birth on the ID, the document type and country, a coded form of the document number, so one ID cannot verify several shops, and any warnings the provider raises about the check, such as a document that looks altered. The photos themselves stay with the provider.
ShopShop name, tagline, description, logo, shop category, country, currency, address, map location, opening hours, delivery areas, shipping fees, and branch names, locations and phone numbers.
Branch managersThe email address the owner adds for each branch, the branch access code, and which devices are logged in to which branch.
Care teamEach member's email address or phone number, name, whether they are online, and the chats assigned to them.
ProductsTitles, descriptions, photos, prices, stock levels, SKUs, categories, offers and badges.
OrdersThe customer's name, phone number, email address if given, delivery address and delivery notes, the items ordered, prices, discounts, shipping, the courier and tracking number, order status and the history of each status change.
Customer conversationsMessages and photos between a shop and its customers in the app's chat, and notes Sellor adds to a chat (hand-offs, calls, WhatsApp). If a customer chooses WhatsApp or a phone call, the conversation happens on that service; we keep only the fact that it was used.
Sellor feeYour monthly fee statements, the orders each is based on, the payments you report and bank transfer references.
LocationThe shop location you place on the map. When you open the map without a place set, or tap "Use my current location", your device's location is read once to centre the map and fill the address; it is not tracked or kept.
SecurityThe devices you log in from (model, system, how you logged in, and an approximate country and city worked out at the time; we do not keep your IP address with them), and security events such as a password, email or phone change. Your IP address is used, and kept for at most a day, only to limit repeated tries and stop abuse.
Device and usageDevice type, operating system, app version, language, crash reports and which screens and features are used, tied to your account ID, never to your name, email or phone. On the web, the app keeps your session, preferences and an offline copy of your shop's data in your browser.
SupportWhat you send us when you contact support or question a fee statement.

5. How we use information

Verifying shop ownersConfirming that each shop owner is a real person before their shop goes live where this is required, so that people who sell illegal goods can be identified and kept off Sellor.
Running your shopPublishing your shop, listing products, taking orders, keeping stock and statistics up to date, and showing each branch its own orders.
DeliveryShowing your staff what they need to deliver an order, for example on the printed receipt. Sellor does not send order details to couriers.
Keeping Sellor safeChecking uploaded photos automatically for adult, sexually suggestive or violent content, refusing clearly unsuitable ones, having a person review doubtful ones and reports, and removing what breaks the rules.
ReceiptsPrinting receipts on a printer you connect, or sharing them as a PDF.
Customer careDelivering chats, routing new chats to an available team member, and keeping the thread history.
Sellor feeWorking out the fee on delivered orders, preparing monthly statements, matching bank transfers and emailing a receipt once a statement is paid.
Security and fraud preventionConfirming new devices and sensitive changes with one-time codes, an authenticator app or a passkey, telling you about logins and security changes by email, stopping automated abuse, and acting on accounts that break our terms.
Improving SellorFixing bugs and understanding which features are used, from figures that do not include your name, email or phone.
Legal dutiesKeeping records that tax, accounting and other laws require, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

6. Messages from Sellor

We send service messages that you cannot switch off while your account is open, such as one-time codes, security alerts, fee receipts and changes to this policy or our terms. When a customer gives an email address, Sellor emails them updates about their order on the shop's behalf.

We do not send marketing messages. If we start, we will ask first where the law requires, and every such message will let you stop them. Shops may message their own customers about their orders; they must not use Sellor to send customers marketing the customer has not agreed to.

7. Legal reasons for using information

We use personal information only when we have a lawful reason to do so. Depending on where you live, these reasons are: to provide the service you asked for (for example, to deliver an order); our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable service; to meet legal obligations; and your consent, for things such as the identity check's face comparison or reading your current location. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or in your device settings.

8. Automated decisions

Some things in Sellor happen automatically:

Identity checkYour selfie is compared with the photo on your ID. If the check is not sure, or the same ID already verified another shop, a person on the Sellor team reviews it. After the set number of failed tries, contact support to try again.
Photo checkUploaded photos are checked for adult, sexually suggestive or violent content. A clearly unsuitable photo is refused at once; a doubtful one is shown and a person on the Sellor team reviews it.
Sellor feeThe fee on each order and any volume discount are calculated from the order subtotal and the number of orders the shop delivered in the last 30 days.
Overdue fees and unverified shopsIf a fee is overdue past the set limit, confirming new orders is paused until it is paid; a shop whose owner has not finished a required identity check stays offline until they do.
Chat routingNew customer chats can be assigned to the available team member with the fewest open chats.
SecurityUnusual logins can be stopped or flagged, and too many wrong codes block further tries for a while.

None of these decides anything about a customer. A shop is never hidden for breaking the rules without a person reviewing the case. If you think an automated result is wrong, contact support and a person will review it.

9. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Your own staff and couriersSellor does not send order details to couriers; the shop gives its staff or courier what they need, for example on the printed receipt.
The shop's own teamBranch managers see the orders, products, chats and sales of their branch. They do not see the shop's other branches, the Sellor fee, payment settings or other people's access. Care team members see the chats assigned to them.
Identity verification providerA company that checks ID documents and live selfies on our behalf, and may use them only to perform the check.
Service providersCompanies that host our data and files, send email and SMS, provide maps and address search, check photos, stop automated abuse (bot checks), and collect crash reports and app usage figures. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
Other services you chooseIf you contact a customer by WhatsApp, email or phone, that service handles the conversation under its own policy.
AuthoritiesWhen the law requires it, to report illegal selling, or to protect the safety of people or the service.
Business changesIf Sellor is merged, sold or reorganised, information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it as this policy describes.
Tax authoritiesWhere the law requires platforms to report sellers' sales, we share the shop's identity, tax details and sales totals with the tax authority.

10. Requests from police and courts

We share information with police, courts or regulators only when the law requires it, such as a valid court order or legal demand, or when it is needed to stop serious harm to someone. We check every request, share only what it requires, and tell the person affected unless the law or the safety of others prevents us.

11. Customer information held by shops

Shops can see the details of customers who order from them. A shop may use this information only to fulfil orders, answer questions and handle returns, and must follow the laws that apply to it. Shops must not sell customer information or use it for purposes the customer would not expect.

A shop that exports orders to a file becomes responsible for that copy.

12. Information for customers

When you order from a shop that uses Sellor, the shop records your name, phone number, delivery address, the items you ordered and any note you add, and may chat with you. The shop uses them to fulfil your order; its staff or courier gets only what they need to deliver it. For questions about your order or your information, contact the shop first; you can also contact us.

13. Cookies and local storage

The web app stores information in your browser to keep you logged in, remember your language and preferences, keep an offline copy of your shop's data, and remember that your browser passed the bot check. Sellor's websites use page-view counts without cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. If you clear your browser storage, you will be logged out.

In the European Union, the United Kingdom and other places where the law requires consent, app analytics runs without storing cookies or identifiers on your device. Elsewhere, the web app's usage figures (Google Analytics) use their own first-party cookies.

14. Device permissions

The app asks for a permission only when you use a feature that needs it. You can change your choice at any time in your device settings.

Camera and photosTo add product photos, a shop logo or a profile photo, to scan a parcel's tracking number, and to photograph your ID for identity verification.
LocationTo place your shop on the map or fill in an address.
BluetoothTo connect a receipt printer.
MicrophoneOnly during the identity check's live selfie, where the verification provider asks for it.

15. How long we keep information

Accounts and shopsFor as long as the account is open.
ID photos and selfieKept by our verification provider and deleted a set number of days after the check, shown in the app before you start. We keep the result, the name and date of birth on the ID, the document type and country, and the date of the check for as long as the account is open.
Orders, products and chatsFor as long as the shop's account is open, unless the shop deletes them earlier.
Fee statements and paymentsWith the shop's name and the owner's email, for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is closed.
Logins and security eventsLogins: the latest 50, for up to 180 days. Security events: the latest 50, for as long as the account is open.
Email delivery recordsDaily counts of email sent, delivered, bounced and marked as spam, button presses and visits to the account pages, without any address, for 400 days; and a coded form of an address that one email service may no longer be used for.
Removed photosA photo removed after review is no longer shown, and is kept as evidence until the shop is deleted.
Device and usage dataFor a limited time, then deleted or combined so it no longer identifies anyone.
Deleted accountsRemoved from the live service at the end of the 30-day closing period, except records we must keep by law. Copies in backups are removed when those backups expire.

16. How we protect information

Information is encrypted when it travels between your device and our servers, and access inside Sellor is limited to staff who need it for their work. New devices and sensitive changes are confirmed with a one-time code, an authenticator app or a passkey, and owners can turn on two-step verification. Branch access codes can be replaced at any time, and owners can log out any device from Settings › Security › Devices. We email you about new logins and security changes.

No system is completely secure. If a breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you without undue delay and report it to the authorities within the time the law requires.

17. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to:

SeeGet a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
CorrectFix information that is wrong. Most of it you can edit yourself in Settings.
ExportDownload your products and orders, and your account data, from Settings › Data.
DeleteClose your account and remove your information, subject to what the law requires us to keep.
Object or restrictAsk us to stop or limit some uses of your information.
Withdraw consentTurn off location access at any time, or stop an identity check before it finishes.
ComplainContact your local data protection authority if you are not satisfied with our answer.

Customers who want to use these rights for an order should contact the shop they bought from. If the shop does not respond, contact us and we will help.

18. Requesting your data

To get a copy of your information, use Settings › Data › Download your account data, or export your products and orders from Settings › Data. To correct or delete it, use Settings, or Settings › Support › Contact support. We check that a request comes from the account holder before we act on it.

19. Deleting your account

Shop owners can delete their account from Settings › Session › Delete account, or at accounts.sellor.app/delete-account without the app. Any unpaid Sellor fee must be settled and open orders finished first. The shop closes at once and, after 30 days (later if a fee billed in that time is still unpaid), the account, shop, products, orders, messages, photos and devices are deleted for good; until then you can log in and restore it. We keep only the shop's name, your email and your fee statements, as accounting law requires.

Branch managers can log out of their device at any time; the owner can remove a branch or its manager.

20. Links to other services

Shops and chats may link to other websites and apps, such as a shop's social media pages, WhatsApp or map services. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.

21. Children

Sellor is not meant for children. You must be at least 18 years old to open a shop, or older if the age of adulthood where you live is higher. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

22. International transfers

When information leaves your country, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as adequacy decisions, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, and we give any notice your country's law requires, so it stays protected to the standard this policy describes.

23. Information for specific regions

BangladeshWe handle personal information in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2026: we use it for the purposes, and keep it for the times, this policy describes; you can see, correct and delete it as described above; and identity documents and the identity check's biometric information are sent to our verification provider in the European Union only with your consent, with the notice the Act requires.
European Economic Area and United KingdomYou have the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object and data portability under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and you can complain to your local supervisory authority.

Residents of California and other states with privacy laws can ask to know, correct or delete their information, and can appeal our answer by replying to it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

BrazilYou have the rights under the LGPD.
Other countriesWhere your local law gives you more rights than this policy describes, we follow your local law.

24. Changes to this policy

If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app before it applies and ask you to accept it. The date at the top shows when the policy was last updated.

25. Contact us
