Privacy policy

DRAFT · pending legal review. Last updated 6 October 2026. How Sellor collects, uses and protects personal information.

1. Who we are

Sellor is an app that lets shops sell online, take orders, arrange delivery and talk to their customers. In this policy, "Sellor", "we" and "us" mean Mundalix Ltd, the company that runs the Sellor apps and the website sellor.app.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It applies to the Sellor shop app on phone, tablet and web, the Sellor Care app, the Sellor Picker app, shop pages that customers visit, and receipt verification.

2. Company details

Legal nameMundalix Ltd
Registered inEngland and Wales

3. Who this policy covers

Shop ownersPeople who create a Sellor shop and sign in with email, phone, Google or Apple.
Branch managersStaff who join one branch with an access code and the email the owner added for them.
Care team membersStaff who answer customer chats in the Sellor Care app.
CustomersPeople who browse a Sellor shop page, place an order or contact a shop.
PickersDelivery partners who collect and deliver orders through Sellor Picker.

4. Our role and the shop’s role

For shop owner, manager and Care team accounts, and for the Sellor fee, Sellor decides how the information is used and is responsible for it.

Each shop decides how it serves its own customers. When a customer orders from a shop, the shop is responsible for that customer relationship, and Sellor processes the customer’s information on the shop’s behalf to show the order, arrange delivery, print receipts and carry chats. Customers who have a question about how a particular shop uses their information should contact that shop first. They can also contact us.

5. Information we collect

AccountName, email address, phone number, profile photo, password (stored only as a secure hash) and the sign-in method you use. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
Identity verificationShop owners give us photos of an ID document accepted in their country (such as a passport, national ID card, driving licence or residence permit), the name as written on it, and a short live selfie. We compare the selfie with the photo on the ID to confirm it is the same person. The face comparison is used only for this check. The selfie and the face comparison are biometric information: we ask for your explicit consent before the check starts, and we never use them for anything else.
ShopShop name, tagline, description, logo, shop category, country, currency, address, map location, opening hours, delivery areas, shipping fees and branch names and locations.
Branch managersThe email address the owner adds for each branch, the branch access code, and which devices are signed in to which branch.
ProductsTitles, descriptions, photos, prices, stock levels, SKUs, categories, offers and badges.
Shopping on a Sellor shopWhen a customer visits a shop page we collect the products viewed, the cart, the delivery details entered at checkout and basic device information. Customers do not need a Sellor account to order.
OrdersThe customer’s name, phone number, delivery address and delivery notes, the items ordered, prices, discounts, shipping, order status and the history of each status change.
Customer conversationsMessages between a shop and its customers in in-app chat, internal notes written by the shop’s team, and a record of calls made through Sellor. If a customer chooses WhatsApp or a normal phone call, the conversation happens on that service; we keep only the fact that the channel was used. In-app calls are not recorded.
Sellor feeYour monthly fee statements, the orders each statement is based on, payments you make, payment method type, bank transfer references and receipts. We do not store full card numbers; card payments are handled by our payment provider.
LocationThe shop location you place on the map. If you tap "Use current location", your device’s location is read once to fill the address. Pickers share their location while an order is on its way.
Device and usageDevice type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, crash reports, and which screens and features are used. On the web we store your session and preferences in your browser.
SupportWhat you send us when you contact support or question a fee statement.
ReportsWhen someone reports a product, we collect the reason, any details they add and the product reported.
Business and tax detailsWhere the law requires it (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States), we collect a shop’s legal business name, address, registration number and tax ID, and check them before the shop can keep selling.

6. How we use information

Verifying shop ownersConfirming that each shop owner is a real person before their shop goes live, so that people who sell illegal goods can be identified and kept off Sellor.
Running your shopPublishing your shop page, listing products, taking orders, keeping stock and statistics up to date, and showing each branch its own orders.
DeliverySharing what is needed with the picker, courier or your own staff to collect and deliver an order, and showing the customer the delivery status.
Keeping products legalChecking new and edited products against our list of banned and restricted items, reviewing flagged products and customer reports, and removing products that break the rules.
Receipts and verificationCreating receipts with a barcode for each item and a QR code that lets anyone check that a receipt is genuine.
Customer careDelivering chats and calls, routing new chats to an online team member, and keeping the thread history.
Sellor feeWorking out the fee on delivered orders, preparing monthly statements, taking payments, matching bank transfers and sending reminders.
NotificationsSending the alerts you switch on, such as new orders, low stock and fee statements.
Safety and fraud preventionConfirming sign-ins with one-time codes, detecting misuse, and acting on shops or pickers that break our terms.
Improving SellorFixing bugs and understanding which features are used. Where possible we use combined figures that do not identify anyone.
Legal dutiesKeeping records that tax, accounting and other laws require, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

7. Messages from Sellor

We send service messages that you cannot switch off while your account is open, such as sign-in codes, fee statements, payment receipts and changes to this policy or our terms.

We may also send announcements about new features or offers by email or in the app. You can turn these off with the unsubscribe link in the email or in Settings › Notifications. Shops may message their own customers about their orders; they must not use Sellor to send customers marketing the customer has not agreed to.

8. Legal reasons for using information

We use personal information only when we have a lawful reason to do so. Depending on where you live, these reasons are: to provide the service you asked for (for example, to deliver an order); our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable service; to meet legal obligations; and your consent, for things such as reading your current location or sending optional messages. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or in your device settings.

9. Automated decisions

Some things in Sellor happen automatically:

Identity checkYour selfie is compared with the photo on your ID, and the name on your ID with the name on your account. If the check is not sure, or fails three times, a person on the Sellor team reviews it.
Product checkProduct names, descriptions and categories are checked for banned and restricted items. A match hides the product until a person reviews it.
Sellor feeThe fee on each order and any volume discount are calculated from the order subtotal and the number of orders the shop delivered in the last 30 days.
Overdue feesIf a fee is overdue past the set limit, confirming new orders is paused until it is paid.
Chat routingNew customer chats can be assigned to the online team member with the fewest open chats.
Fraud checksUnusual sign-ins or payments may be flagged for review.

None of these decides anything about a customer. Shops are never paused or hidden without a person reviewing the case. If you think an automated result is wrong, contact support and a person will review it.

10. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Pickers and couriersThe customer’s name, phone number, delivery address and order code, only for orders handed to them.
The shop’s own teamBranch managers see the orders, products and chats of their branch. They do not see revenue, the Sellor fee, payment details or other people’s access.
Payment providersMobile wallet, card and bank partners that process Sellor fee payments. Card numbers are entered on the payment provider’s own page; Sellor never sees or stores them.
Identity verification providerA company that checks ID documents and live selfies on our behalf. It may use the images only to perform the check.
Service providersCompanies that host our data, send email, SMS and push notifications, provide maps and address search, and store crash reports. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
Other services you chooseIf you contact a customer by WhatsApp, email or phone, that service handles the conversation under its own policy.
AuthoritiesWhen the law requires it, to report illegal selling, or to protect the safety of people or the service.
Business changesIf Sellor is merged, sold or reorganised, information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it as this policy describes.
Tax authoritiesWhere the law requires platforms to report sellers’ sales (for example the EU DAC7 rules, the UK platform reporting rules or US Form 1099-K), we share the shop’s identity, tax details and sales totals with the tax authority.

Our current service providers:

11. Requests from police and courts

We share information with police, courts or regulators only when the law requires it, such as a valid court order or legal demand, or when it is needed to stop serious harm to someone. We check every request, share only what it requires, and tell the person affected unless the law or the safety of others prevents us.

Requests should be sent to legal@sellor.app.

12. Customer information held by shops

Shops can see the details of customers who order from them. A shop may use this information only to fulfil orders, answer questions and handle returns, and must follow the laws that apply to it. Shops must not sell customer information or use it for purposes the customer would not expect.

A shop that exports orders to a CSV file becomes responsible for that copy.

13. Information for customers

When you order from a shop on Sellor, we receive your name, phone number, delivery address, the items you ordered and any note you add. The shop uses them to fulfil your order; a picker or courier gets only what they need to deliver it. Checkout shows a link to this policy before you place an order.

14. Information about pickers

For people who deliver through Sellor Picker, we collect:

ProfileName, phone number, photo, vehicle type and the agency you deliver for.
LocationYour live location only while you are on an active order. The shop and the customer can see it until the order is delivered. We do not track you between orders.
DeliveriesPickup and delivery times, handover codes, cash collected and any reported problems.
RatingsRatings and comments from customers after delivery. They count toward your agency’s rating.

15. Receipt verification

Anyone who scans a receipt QR code or enters a receipt number can see whether the receipt is genuine and the current status of the order or payment. The check does not show the customer’s phone number or address.

16. Cookies and local storage

The web app stores small pieces of information in your browser to keep you signed in, remember your language and preferences, and show recent content when you are offline. We do not use advertising cookies. If you clear your browser storage, you will be signed out.

Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, such as in the European Union and the United Kingdom, we will ask before using any analytics or similar tools.

17. Device permissions

The app asks for a permission only when you use a feature that needs it. You can change your choice at any time in your device settings.

Camera and photosTo add product photos, a shop logo or a profile photo.
LocationTo place your shop on the map or fill in an address.
NotificationsTo alert you about orders, stock and fee statements.
BluetoothTo connect a receipt printer.
MicrophoneFor in-app calls with customers. Calls are not recorded.

18. How long we keep information

Accounts and shopsFor as long as the account is open.
ID photos and selfieDeleted 30 days after the check is finished. We keep the result, the document type and the date of the check for as long as the account is open.
Orders, fee statements and paymentsFor as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is closed.
Customer conversationsFor as long as the shop’s account is open, unless the shop deletes them earlier.
Device and usage dataFor a limited time, then deleted or combined so it no longer identifies anyone.
Deleted accountsRemoved from the live service within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, except records we must keep by law.

19. How we protect information

Information is encrypted when it travels between your device and our servers, and access inside Sellor is limited to staff who need it for their work. Sign-ins are confirmed with one-time codes, and Sellor staff use two-step sign-in. Branch access codes can be regenerated at any time, and owners can sign out any device from Settings › Shop › Devices.

No system is completely secure. If a breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you without delay and report it to the relevant authorities within 72 hours of finding it, where the law requires.

20. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to:

SeeGet a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
CorrectFix information that is wrong. Most of it you can edit yourself in Settings.
ExportDownload your products and orders from Settings › Data.
DeleteClose your account and remove your information, subject to what the law requires us to keep.
Object or restrictAsk us to stop or limit some uses of your information.
Withdraw consentTurn off location access and optional notifications at any time.
ComplainContact your local data protection authority if you are not satisfied with our answer.

Customers who want to use these rights for an order should contact the shop they bought from. If the shop does not respond, contact us and we will help. We answer requests within 30 days.

21. Requesting your data

To get a copy of your information, correct it or delete it, use Settings › Support › Contact support or email privacy@sellor.app. To protect your account, we confirm the request with a code sent to your account email or phone before we act on it.

Shop products and orders can also be exported at any time from Settings › Data.

22. Deleting your account

Shop owners can delete their account from Settings › Session › Delete account. Any unpaid Sellor fee must be settled first. Deleting the account removes the shop page, products and team access. Branch managers can sign out of their device at any time; the owner can remove a branch or its manager.

23. Links to other services

Shop pages and chats may link to other websites and apps, such as a shop’s social media pages, WhatsApp or map services. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.

24. Children

Sellor is not meant for children. You must be at least 18 years old to open a shop, or older if the age of adulthood where you live is higher. Customers must be old enough to make a purchase where they live. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

25. International transfers

When information leaves your country, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as adequacy decisions, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, so it stays protected to the standard this policy describes.

26. Information for specific regions

United StatesWe do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws can ask to know, correct or delete their information, and can appeal our answer by replying to it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
CanadaWe handle personal information in line with PIPEDA and provincial laws. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
BangladeshWe handle personal information in line with the data protection laws of Bangladesh.
Other countriesWhere your local law gives you more rights than this policy describes, we follow your local law.

27. Changes to this policy

If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when the policy was last updated.

28. Contact us
